I haven't noticed that one. I don't know if you'd ever been to Thai Soon (used to be on 5th, I think, and was amazingly yummy veggie Thai food). I miss that restaurant sooo terribly much.
Now my next favorite is Madam Mam's. It's not a romantic place to go but the food is quite good.

I think it's fairly new on the drag, it opened in June I think. They've got the potential to be great but they're going to have to something big about the service situation before that'll happen.
I've never been to Thai Soon. I really like Madam Mam's, Thai Kitchen and Satay (over on Anderson Ln). The green curry with tofu and green beans and chicken panang are my favorites at Madam Mam's. The panang at Satay is the best in town though, IMHO.
You're right about Madam Mam's atmosphere. Have you been the south location across the street from the south Central Market? The atmosphere is better there I think.
